Reasons why urgent care may be needed:

Here at IP Homecare we understand that there are many reasons why someone may require emergency home care. Whether it’s due to an accident, a sudden illness or being let down by your current carer, we’re on hand to help at the last minute. Our emergency home care services may be the right option for you if:

  • Your current live-in care provider let you down
  • A relative has recently been discharged from hospital
  • Someone has had an unexpected accident or suffered a fall
  • The main caregiver is ill or unexpectedly been called away
  • The individual requires palliative care

How does urgent live-in care work?

Live-in care is very different to receiving care in a residential setting. Our urgent live-in care services mean that a professional carer is on-hand to provide specialist one-to-one care within 48 hours, all in the comfort of your own home.

At IP Homecare, all our live-in carers are professionally trained, rigorously police checked and directly employed by us, which means you do not have to worry about wages or paying tax and national insurance. We choose our live-in carers not only for their knowledge and experience, but also for their compassion and commitment to valuing the dignity and self-respect of every single customer. This means that your carer will not only fully understand your urgent care needs, but will also be on-hand to provide companionship and support.

How soon can urgent care be arranged?

Within 24 hours if required. A local Care Manager will carry out a free emergency assessment at a location of your choice to discuss your loved ones’ care needs and discuss the type of live-in carer you require.

We then create a care and support plan, tailored to your specific needs. We will also work closely with other health care professionals to discuss any home adaptions or equipment that is required.

Professional urgent care

Registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) report, families have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in safe hands. All of our customers have their own personal care team, led by a Care Manager who will continually review and assess the service we are providing. We also perform spot checks (unannounced visits) to ensure the highest level of urgent live-in care is continually being met.
